DESCRIPTION:“Figuring”\nAn exhibition of figure\, portrait and narrative paintings completed over the years by Dennis Bertram.\nMay 2 – May 30\, 2020Opening Reception May 2\, 2020 • 4-7pm \nDenise paints at every opportunity. He paints at his home studio and in the Buffalo NY Artists Studio. Through re-thinking what attracted him to his subjects\, he commanded the shapes\, created them not as reflections of the world in front of him\, but as reflections of the world within him. This uncovered the difficulty we have making good decisions in a complex world. These simplified shapes became a vocabulary by which Denise constructs complex images.
