Norine M. Spurling
I began life as a barefoot child in Bermuda, surrounded by coral sand, blue skies and deep blue sea. Since art was obviously my forte my parents sent me to Philadelphia to study painting at Moore College of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. I have an MFA degree from SUNY Buffalo where I taught Drawing for several years.
I have exhibited widely and have won numerous awards. My work has been included in exhibits at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, NY, Chautauqua Institute, Chautauqua, NY, Tallahassee, FL, Brea, CA, Melbourne, Australia, and Hamilton, Bermuda. I have work in several major collections, including the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Buffalo, NY, Blue Cross of Western new York, and West Publishing Co., Saint Paul, MN.. I am a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, Hallwalls, the Western New York Artists Group, and the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society.
