Ever since Cheryl could pick up a crayon or pencil, she has been drawing. One of her many strengths is her amazing imagination. Being self-taught, Cheryl has explored a multitude of disciplines, media and methods including watercolor, charcoal, clay and her current favorite, colored pencil. Encouraged by school art teachers, she started displaying her artwork in local outdoor art shows. Over the years, she has been the recipient of numerous awards and accolades. Since 1976, Cheryl has been a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, a prestigious, internationally recognized organization founded in 1891 and associated with many famous artists, which remains one of the oldest continually operating art organizations in the nation. Cheryl’s work often depicts women in fantastic and surreal settings.
